You’ve probably seen a lot of movies, pictures, television shows, or magazine advertisements that feature women with tattoos. These tattoos are probably on the lower back, ankle, or hip. They definitely make the women who wear them look sexy. These tattoos are probably of a butterfly, flower, or similar object.
These are all popular tattoo positions and designs, and for good reason. They’re sexy, they attract men, and they’re not something that you’re going to get tired of looking at. For many girls, these tattoos are great choices. They may reflect a feminine personality, and they’re probably not going to attract too much unwanted attention.
But if you’re looking for something a little different in your tattoo, think outside the box. What are your favorite hobbies? If you like sports, maybe you can work that into your design. If you have a favorite quote, you can even get that tattooed, too. You can “feminize” these tattoo designs by choosing ornate embellishments, like vines or flowers.
Just because you’re a girl doesn’t mean that you’ve got to get tattooed like most people think girls “should” be tattooed. If you’ve got great arms and want to show them off, by all means, get your tattoo there! If you love your legs and want to draw people’s eyes to them, ink those babies! Your whole body is your canvas.
If you’re stuck in a mode of indecision, though, you might need a way to jump-start your creativity. Looking at other examples of tattoos is a good way to do this. Try talking to friends and co-workers who have tattoos, and ask them where they got their ideas. You can also try looking online, or visiting your local tattoo parlor to get some inspiration.
You can also try some less conventional methods. What’s your favorite movie? Watch it again, and you might find the perfect idea. Do you have a favorite song, or a favorite band? Maybe one of their lyrics is right for you.
The best thing about getting a tattoo is that it is all about YOU. The design choice is YOURS. The location choice is YOURS. Tattoos for girls can be as girly – or as not girly – as you want them to be.
